MX Choc & Alps Compatible Springs

SPRiT Alps / Choc springs are purpose-built for short-travel switch platforms such as Alps SKCM/SKCL and Kailh Choc. Unlike MX switches, both Alps and Choc operate within a more compact spring cavity and shorter total travel. Because of this shared architecture, they use the same short-format spring design, allowing one precisely engineered spring platform to serve both technologies correctly. These are not MX-length springs adapted to fit; they are specifically tuned for the tighter geometry and compressed travel of Alps and low-profile builds.

In practice, short-travel switches amplify every detail of the force curve. Small changes in preload or spring rate feel larger in the fingers compared to MX. SPRiT’s tight manufacturing tolerances ensure consistent force across a board, reducing uneven key feel and unpredictable return. The result is a more controlled initial press, clearer tactility in Alps switches, and a smoother, less abrupt bottom-out in Choc builds.
