The Type R is the first true tactile switch in Silliworks' Gateron Type series—and it doesn’t hold back. Engineered with a finely tuned early bump and clean post-activation drop-off, this switch offers a distinct yet approachable tactile event. With a 45g actuation and 55g bottom-out, the Type R strikes a comfortable balance between feedback and fatigue-free usability.

Featuring Gateron’s newer Ink housing molds, the switch blends a clacky and crisp sound signature with minimal stem wobble.  Pre-lubed and ready to go, Type R delivers a tightly integrated tactile typing experience—perfect for those who want satisfying feedback and a unique feel unlike any other.
