Sho Labs Anti-Vibration Mat for HHKB

In collaboration with Sho Labs, this anti-vibration mat has been redesigned from the ground up. HHKB users have relied on vibration mats for years to soften the sound profile and improve the feel of their boards in professional environments. This new version pushes that idea further with better materials, easier application and a better visual outcome.

Each set includes two adhesive pads made from high-quality textured Japanese 3mm polyurethane, designed specifically for the HHKB.

The mat improves your keyboard in three key ways:

• Shock absorption – reduces vibration and produces a more controlled, silenced sound profile (noticeable on both Type-S and stock HHKB)
• Improved desk grip – larger surface area than the stock HHKB feet keeps the board planted during use
• More solid keypress feel – slightly firmer bottom-out, closer to the feel of an aftermarket case than a completely stock HHKB

Because the mats add 3mm of height to the front of the keyboard, some users may find a wrist rest more comfortable after installation. This height change is more noticeable on the HHKB Pro 2 than the Pro 3 as the resulting total height is larger.

These mats can be used on other EC keyboards, however, as they are not designed for other keyboards, the result will not be as visually pleasing. As this product relies on quality of adhesive for resale, these items are not returnable.

The mats are removable without damaging the keyboard. Reinstallation is possible a limited number of times (typically up to two reapplications before the adhesive begins to weaken).
