The Story

The first release from a hugely promising new studio, Athena is the result of 8 months of design iteration, community feedback, and a heartfelt desire to create a keyboard that doesn't just look good, but lasts.

Designed by a Canadian team of good eggs with in-house PCB fabrication capability (among other skills), Athena reflects the values of the people behind it: intentionality, accessibility, and shared creativity. I've chatted to these folks many times now, and every time I am left with confidence and excitement for their future work.

From day one, NyxKeys didn’t want to release another throwaway keyboard. They pushed through 26+ prototypes and 7 design generations to deliver something adaptable, reliable, and deeply personal. The final version - Athena, takes its name from the goddess of wisdom, and it shows:
