MetaKeebs Red Series EC Domes

MetaKeebs spent over a year developing their custom electro-capacitive dome moulds designed to replicate the bounce and responsiveness of vintage HHKB Hybrid Type-S domes. These domes offer a premium alternative to Deskeys or Niz at a significantly more accessible price point. These have been one of our fastest selling EC products ever for good reason.

Experience the iconic Topre feel, your way. The MetaKeebs EC Domes provide a consistent, premium typing experience in many carefully tuned weight options. Manufactured from high-quality silicone, each dome is precision-molded to deliver clean rebound, smooth compression, and crisp return.

• 25 g (orange): Ultra-light, fast-rebounding, and still tactile feel. Vastly improved over the lighter domes of most comparable products because they retain their tactility despite the light weight.
• 35 g (rose red): In my opinion these are the most comfortable domes to type on that I have ever used. I've tried Niz, KLC and Deskeys. These domes have the most Topre like feel of the weights we stock, though a touch lighter and gentler on the hands.
• 45 g (red): A noticeable and firm tactility. This is really satisfying to punch through. Bump is slightly rounder than Topre, and feels smoother but not to the detriment of tactility. Sound profile is slightly brighter than OEM. 
• 55 g (grey): Firm and resistant, for those who prefer deeper push force more akin to aged Topre but smoother feeling. Fingers need to be moving quickly to actuate. Perfect for precise typing or heavy fingers. Very similar to aged topre. Deep sound profile.
• New additions: 40g which is a perfect midweight between the light series and OEM equivalent weights. 30g due to arrive in January. 55g (B) a closer experience to OEM 55g, a bit lighter and softer). 

I have been really surprised at the quality of these domes. Charles and the Metakeebs crew have done a fine job, and with ever increasing specificity of weights on the way, we are entering a real turning point in EC.

I've added a sample pack which will give you a feel for each of the weight classes. As we order more weight classes, more domes will be included in the packs. These will be single 1U domes cut from the main sheet.
