Krytox 205G2 – Stabilizer Grease

Krytox GPL 205 is a high-viscosity, fluorinated PTFE grease engineered for industrial-grade performance—repurposed by keyboard enthusiasts for ultra-smooth stabilizer tuning. Thicker than 205g0 and uncompromised by additives, it's the go-to choice when you want deep, smooth stabilizers with zero rattle and long-term stability.

This is authentic Chemours-manufactured GPL 205, repackaged into 5g and 10g glass jars by The Thocc Exchange—ideal for accurate, desk-friendly use.

🛠️ Why Use Krytox 205 for Stabilizers?

Viscosity matters: GPL 205 is significantly thicker than 205g0. That makes it less prone to migration and perfect for filling tolerance gaps in stab housings and wire channels.

No additives: Unlike many greases, Krytox 205 is 100% PTFE thickened, so it won’t react with plastic housings or metal wires over time.

Non-migrating: Its consistency helps keep the grease exactly where you place it—crucial for long-term stabilizer reliability.

🔬 Technical Details (from Chemours)

Base chemistry: PFPE (perfluoropolyether)

Operating temperature: Up to 204 °C continuously (short-term peaks to 220 °C). If your keyboard typing speed is so high you regularly get your stabilisers above these temperatures, please speak with a Doctor.

Inert and non-flammable: Safe for use with plastics, metals, and elastomers

No VOCs or additives: Safe, clean, and non-reactive with other components. Definitely do not consume this product.

Corrosion-resistant, non-evaporative, and chemically stable under high stress

Typical use cases (per Chemours): valves, instruments, and components exposed to chemicals, steam, ammonia, and oxidizers—which makes it total overkill for a stabilizer, but in the best way possible.

⚠️ Usage Guidance

Apply to: Stabilizer housings, sliders, and wires

Do not use in mechanical switches (too thick—will cause sluggishness)

Application tip: Use a fine brush or spatula and apply sparingly. You don’t need much. You can also order our lubricant syringes, and refill with this product if you wish, but don't mix 205G0 and 205 together by accident.

Storage: Cool, dry place. Shelf life is essentially indefinite if sealed.
