Keygeek Cera Linear (10 pack)
TLDR: Lovely smooth and clacky linear by Keygeek with innovative stem.
The Keygeek Cera is a full-POM linear that takes a very deliberate step away from the softer, rounded feel of earlier designs. Where switches like POMkin lean smooth and muted, Cera is tuned for a sharper, crisper sound, thanks to a flat pole stem design that emphasises a more defined bottom-out.
This switch was developed in collaboration with Gearpod, who commissioned an entirely new housing mould specifically for Cera. That matters, because full-POM switches can easily drift into sluggish territory if tolerances aren’t handled carefully. To avoid that, the geometry of both the top housing opening and the bottom housing stem hole has been refined to reduce stem wobble without creating the vacuum-like “syringe effect” that can kill return speed.
Material-wise, the stem is where things get interesting. The POM blend has been modified with ceramic powder, increasing hardness and lowering surface friction compared to standard POM. The result is a cleaner, more decisive keystroke that still retains the smoothness you’d expect from a full-POM construction.
Cera also introduces a different factory lubrication approach from previous Keygeek switches. The stem is treated with a dry film lubricant, while the top housing is left completely dry. This avoids the oily, dampened feel some factory-lubed switches suffer from, keeping the switch feeling crisp and controlled right out of the bag.
