Manufacturer Introduction:
HMX, in collaboration with Keebscape, introduces the Snow Crash—their first-ever rail bottom-out linear switch. Known for tight production tolerances and modern engineering, HMX ensures premium stock performance across their lineup.
Product Description:
Snow Crash delivers a full-travel 4 mm experience with the stability and smoothness you'd expect from HMX’s precise molding. Engineered with a PA66 housing and POM stem (12.75 mm), the switch demonstrates exceptional stem wobble control—thanks to its rail bottom-out design that minimizes friction.
The switch uses a 22 mm extended KOS spring, offering a clean, responsive feel with 50 g actuation and 58 g bottom-out, each measured at their standard travel points.
ThereminGoat’s review highlights Snow Crash’s smoother and quieter operation compared to traditional HMX long-poles, with a sound profile described as “brisk, moderately balanced, with minimal scratch.” Over-lubed batches caused some mushiness at the outset but this has been resolved into a stunning example of a modern linear switch.
