Lapras never let me down

I remember vividly the moment I emerged from the Pokémon Seafoam Islands (basically shipwrecked on my trusty Lapras) having finally caught the legendary Articuno. Mum let me leave the dinner table early to celebrate even though I hadn't eaten all my peas. It was the magnum opus of my early gaming experiences as a child. Looks like the same was true for the seasoned and celebrated designer of Blaine V2 - Upas. 

For Upas, the Blaine V2: Seafoam Edition traces its roots back to this exact moment. Exhausted, low on health, and relieved to reach Cinnabar Island. It was a place filled with mystery, discovery and experimentation. He writes about reviving ancient fossils, exploring the abandoned Pokémon Mansion and uncovering the legend of Mewtwo. Those experiences led him here with a homage to a beautiful story.

When Pokémon Gold and Silver revisited Kanto years later, everything had changed. Cinnabar Island had been destroyed by a volcanic eruption, and Gym Leader Blaine had relocated to the Seafoam Islands. That choice inspired the name Blaine V2: Seafoam Edition.

The Blaine V2 blends the familiar with the refined. Its classic F12 tenkeyless proportions are paired with several modern mounting options, premium machining and extensive customisation. This isn't a keyboard that you'd immediately recognise. It's a playful and loving abstraction on this moment in gaming history that's a joy to explain to a curious observer. It's a project built by an enthusiast, for enthusiasts, inspired by the moments that first made many of us fall in love with technology. I'm really proud to run this Group Buy.
