The darker greens give Salamander a grounded, almost pine forest-like foundation, while the warmer accent colours cut through it beautifully. The result is a design that can feel understated from a distance but has considerably more personality once you start looking at the individual keys and kits.

Manufactured by GMK in Germany, Salamander uses thick ABS keycaps with crisp doubleshot legends and the familiar Cherry profile.

Available Kits

GMK Salamander is available across a broad range of kits, allowing you to build anything from a straightforward TKL or compact board through to layouts requiring additional compatibility:

Base / TKL Kit

Numpad Kit

Accent Kit

Extension Kit

International Kit

Novelties Kit

There are also matching accessories available as part of the project, including Judgement and Desolation deskmats and corresponding copper artisans.

Specifications

Specs

Details

Manufacturer

GMK

Designer

NyxKeys (& our lovely community member Glen)

Profile

Cherry / GMK CYL

Material

ABS

Manufacturing method

Doubleshot

Keycap thickness

Approx. 1.5mm

Switch compatibility

Cherry MX stems and compatible MX-style switches

Group Buy

9 October – 9 November 2026

Estimated fulfilment

Q2 2027

Group Buy Information

This product is being sold as a Group Buy.

By joining the Group Buy, you are purchasing a product that has not yet completed production.
